ABOUT PLACEMENT CELL:

The Placement Cell is responsible for campus placement at National Sports University. The Cell strives to promote and provide a platform for the placement of students through campus recruitment. The Placement Committee, comprising five faculty members, is responsible for placement activities at the university. The Placement Cell is well equipped to conduct campus recruitment that facilitates the placement of students or job seekers into suitable employment opportunities. The primary goal of a placement cell is to bridge the gap between education and employment by assisting students in finding suitable job opportunities and helping employers connect with potential candidates.

On January 3, 2023, a placement cell was established at National Sports University under the chairmanship of Shri. R.C. Mishra, Retd. IAS, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, National Sports University, with the registrar, Dean (Academics), Dean of Students Welfare, and Dr. S. Premananda Singh, Coordinator, Placement Cell. The main activity of the Placement Cell is to promote and provide a platform for the placement of interested students through campus recruitment.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PLACEMENT CELL:

• To assist students to develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions.

• Gathering information about job fairs and all relevant recruitment advertisements.

• Coordinating with companies to learn about their requirements and recruitment procedures.

• To provide recruitment to students.

• Managing Recruiters correspondence and feedback’s.

• Coordinating all the activities related to Placement.

• Identifying the needs and expectations of the companies to assist them in recruiting most suitable candidates.

• Organizing pre-placement training/workshops/seminars for students.

• Arranging periodic meetings with Schools, Potential Sports Industry and Sports Academies, Higher Education Institutes, Universities, SAI to promote recruitments.

• To provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process.

• To act as a link between students, alumni, and the employment community.

• To assist students in obtaining placement in reputed companies.

• To conduct various mock interview prior to the recruitment process.

• Interacting with the Potential Recruiters.

• Placement Presentation at various companies/schools/ academies / Govt. Agencies etc.

• Organizing Resume Writing and Interview(s) skills development sessions.
